• Linking your PAN and Aadhaar card online is very easy.
• If a person’s PAN card is not linked to his Aadhaar card, he should first check its status online. After that, if there is no connection, follow some simple steps.
• Step 1 :The candidate must first visit the income tax portal www.incometax.gov.in. There he has to click on the “Link Aadhaar” option.
• Step 2 :The next step is to enter your Aadhaar and PAN card number.
• Step 3 : A one-time password will be sent to the candidate’s mobile number, which he or she will have to enter in the next step.
• Step 4 : After completing the verification step the citizen has to pay a fee of Rs 1000. Select AY 2023-24 and payment type Other Receipts (500).
• Step 5 : Download the receipt after making the payment.
• Step 6 : After 4 to 5 working days of payment you will need to log in again and follow the same steps, but this time no payment will be required.
• Step 7 : After the process is completed, you have to wait for a few days. As soon as all your information matches with UIDAI, your Aadhaar card will be linked to your PAN card and you will be able to check the status from time to time.
